Matthew Ryan is an Australian playwright and theatre director. ==Past work== Ryan began theatre-making with his first play ''So You Die A Little'' (co-written with Tony Brockman), which was short-listed for the Queensland Theatre Company's George Landen Dann Award. He won the same award the following year for his second play, ''Chasing The Whale'' (as ''The Dance of Jeremiah''). He made his mainstage debut with ''Chasing The Whale'' at La Boite Theatre Company in 2005.
